Your racing career is going exceptionally well and you are striving to reach new heights. But how do you take that next step towards world level racing? That is where Ten Kate Racing Products comes in! Since our first appearance in world level racing back in 1994, Ten Kate Racing made name worldwide. After winning 9 world titles in Supersport and 1 in Superbike, we are even said to be the most successful team ever in the WorldSBK paddock. Because of that, we think our team can be an excellent stepping stone for upcoming talents that want to showcase their potential on a world level stage.
With this in mind, we have already ran full wildcard projects in several championships. In 2021 we are racing in the FIM World Supersport championship with Dominique Aegerter and Galang Hendra Pratama on full spec Ten Kate Yamaha YZF-R6 bikes, as an official Yamaha supported WorldSSP team. We have one extra Ten Kate Racing YZF-R6 WorldSSP bike in exactly the same specs, ready to be used for wildcard appearances. There is no point in building excellent racing bikes if you do not set them up to the specific riders preferences. For example; suspension, final gearing, gearbox ratios and electronics are all important to set-up correctly in order to improve the riding and achieve the fastest laptimes in a save way. Setting up the bike correctly requires a lot of knowledge of racing bikes in general and the specific components that were used to prepare the bike.
After the base setting is tested, it is very important to use the riders' comments in order to improve the performance in that specific situation. Sometimes problems can even be solved by a change of riding style. Datasystems can be very helpful to improve settings strategically. However, they do need to be set-up in the right way. After gathering all the data, it needs to be analyzed thoroughly to get the most out of the information. It is very logical that not everyone has the technical skills, knowledge and experience to really make the data work for them and find the perfect bike setting.
Because our highly experienced and dedicated support engineers have all worked in the Ten Kate Racing teams, they are not only able to supply you of technical support but they can also advise and organise your pitbox/racing team in order to create a very strong team organisation and a professional structure. This is significantly boosting rider confidence and guarantees optimal performance and joy throughout the entire team.
